Tradewind is searching for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team in Cheshire East. We are seeking a compassionate individual with empathy to provide personalised emotional support to pupils.

Do you have a BSL qualification?

Are you Team-Teach trained?

Are you trained in Read Write Inc.?

Do you understand Zones of Regulation?

Are you First Aid trained?

This role entails:

  • Supporting a pupil with SEND, primarily on a one-to-one basis
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of the young individual under your care
  • Collaborating with the school team to cultivate a stimulating, secure, and nurturing learning atmosphere for pupils

The competitive pay rate for this position ranges from £84 to £90 per day, depending on experience. This flexi-time position will commence after the October half-term holidaysand may extend for the remainder of the academic year.

About you:

The successful Teaching Assistant will oversee the progress and achievement of a high-achieving class. Additionally, you will collaborate with the class teacher to support the academic progress of children with additional needs, both in group settings and one-to-one.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in lesson delivery, classroom management, and fostering a positive learning environment
  • Providing individualised support to pupils facing learning challenges to ensure comprehension of the curriculum
  • Aiding in the preparation of teaching materials and organising resources for lessons
  • Establishing positive relationships with all pupils based on trust and mutual respect
  • Collaborating effectively with the key stage and wider staff to share advice, resources, and best practices

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent references showcasing previous experience in KS1/KS2
  • A comprehensive CV covering full employment history, with all gaps explained
  • The legal right to work in the UK
