Supply Teacher - Northwich Area

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons across a range of subjects and year groups in various schools within the Northwich area, ensuring that students continue to make progress in your absence.
  • Provide consistent and effective classroom management, fostering a positive learning environment that ensures student engagement and behavioural consistency.
  • Follow school-specific plans and adapt teaching materials as needed to ensure curriculum coverage and continuity of learning.
  • Utilise differentiated instruction to meet the needs of a diverse group of students and support learners with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Establish strong relationships with students, staff, and parents, creating a safe and inclusive environment for all.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure seamless integration into school routines and policies.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the school's permanent staff where applicable.

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a classroom setting, with an ability to deliver effective lessons and manage student behaviour.
  • A flexible, adaptable approach to working in a variety of school environments, with the ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly understand and follow school-specific procedures and plans.
  • An understanding of differentiation and how to provide inclusive teaching for all abilities.
  • A commitment to maintaining high educational standards and ensuring student welfare.
