About the Role:We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our client's team in a school setting, supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with autism, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviours. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students with complex needs, both individually and in groups.
- Collaborate with teaching teams and behaviour analysts to integrate speech and language interventions across the curriculum.
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and evaluate outcomes.
- Support the use of AAC systems and contribute to behaviour support and transition plans.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reporting and annual reviews.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Experience working with children and young people with autism and complex communication needs.
- Strong knowledge of AAC, speech and language assessments, and evidence-based interventions.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and maintain up-to-date case notes.
