Salary: £40k - £49k per annum
About the Role:
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving procurement strategies and managing spend across various categories. You will work closely with academic and professional services teams to ensure efficient and effective procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for different categories.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across various departments.
- Analyse data and provide reports to senior management.
- Utilize planning techniques and risk management strategies.
- Evaluate options and make commercial recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MUST HAVE HIGHER EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
- Strong background in procurement with experience across various categories.
- Excellent understanding of procurement principles and practices.
- CIPS Qualified or working towards
- Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience
- Strong vendor management experience
- Strong analytical skills and ability to present data effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
