Contract Supply Chain Manager

12-month Minimum Contract

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Supply Chain Manager.

The Opportunity

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of our products and services. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of supply chain operations, including managing supplier relationships, conducting supplier audits, and improving supply chain efficiency. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in engineering, project management, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies to support business objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance reviews, and audits to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
  • Work closely with engineering and project teams to align supply chain operations with project requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Lead supplier audits to ensure adherence to company standards and industry regulations.
  • Monitor and analyse supply chain metrics, providing reports and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize inventory management and procurement processes.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong background in supply chain management, with proven experience in engineering, projects, and operational management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing supplier relationships, including conducting supplier audits.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A results-driven mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. Alternatively could have served an Apprenticeship in Engineering.
  • Professional certifications such as Prince2, CIPS or Six Sigma are beneficial but not essential.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
