Description

As the Head of Procurement you will,

  • Oversee and manage the entire procurement operations, taking time to understand the current working, and knowledge, with a view to building in robust process, and system to support the growth
  • Review the current supply base, building on relationships, and understanding performance
  • Ensure the best quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products that will support a first class customer experience
  • Identify potential supply chain risks as the organisation grows, and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Lead and inspire the procurement team to raise performance and capability
  • Regularly review market trends (trade shows & supplier intel) to identify new procurement opportunities.
  • Support NPD, with a total cost approach

Profile

The successful candidate, Head of Procurement should have:

  • A robust understanding of procurement and supply chain management in the Manufacturing and a sales / distribution operating model
  • Proven track record in a senior management role, specifically in procurement.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on cost reduction and quality improvement.
  • Used to adapting a function and approach to suit a demanding, fast paced operating environment
  • Proven in both a manufacturing and project based operating model
