- Students: KS3 to KS5 with learning difficulties and SEMH issues

Many of the young people we support on a 1-1 basis have mild, moderate & sometimes severe learning difficulties and/or SEMH issues. The majority are KS3 through to KS5 and many are dis-engaged, having not attended school for some time and as such can display challenging behaviour, or may have certain emotional barriers to learning. As a result, we are seeking Tutors with a background in working hard to re-engage students back into education, who have a flexible approach and are resilient to facing extreme types of behaviour.

Many of the young people come with very little or no academic background, so we need Tutors who can perform basic baseline assessments to ascertain working levels and plan for sessions moving forward. Ideal tutors will have their own resources/ bag of goodies as we say! Useful links can be provided.
This can be a very rewarding role and suits Tutors who are seeking a part or full time- table to possibly work around another job, childcare, studies or simply just because you prefer to teach 1-1. If you have a passion for working with students to nurture, and stimulate their learning experience, then we want to hear from you.
To express an interest, please submit a CV via the link below or if you would prefer to discuss further before applying, please feel free to contact Eileen or Claire on (phone number removed) for a confidential chat.
