Sports Centre Commercial & Operations ManagerNorth West London£40,000An exciting opportunity to run a multi-faceted sports centre at a high-end health and fitness site as Commercial & Operations Manager in North West London! The facilities include a gym, swimming pool, sports hall and studio. My client is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of working within the leisure industry as this is a busy and influential role within the business.The main responsibilities of the Commercial & Operations Manager are:

Being responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Sports Centre under the direction of the Head of Enterprises
Managing a diverse team and overseeing the health and safety and smooth running of the facilities
Develop and execute comprehensive revenue generation to meet or exceed financial targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships and sponsorships to diversify revenue streams
Oversee membership sales and retention programmes, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety laws, regulations and standards
Support and cover “on shift” operations where required including evenings, weekends and holiday periods

The candidate:

Degree or equivalent in Business, Sports Management or a related field
Proven experience in a commercial management role within the sports and fitness industry
Pool Plant Operators qualification is ideal
NPLQ including First Aid at Work
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

This is a fantastic job in fitness which requires the successful individual to take ownership of the centre as if it was their own business. Flexibility is required as occasional Duty Manager shifts will need to be covered. You must be an outgoing character who thrives in and enjoys meeting the demands of a fast paced environment.
