Maintenance Manager. Based in Northwood, Middlesex my client has a new requirement for an Maintenance Manager. Please note this role working days: mostly Tuesday to Saturday with occasional rota patterns including Monday Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm!

You must have/be:

  • Proficiency in general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform manual labour for extended periods

Role involves:

General Maintenance:

  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
  • Report repairs cosmetic or structural which will need to be outsourced.
  • Conduct routine checks and repairs of the facility's infrastructure, including doors, windows, floors, and fixtures.
  • Ensure that emergency systems, such as fire alarms and emergency lighting, are operational.

Repairs and Upkeep:

  • Address and resolve maintenance requests and issues promptly, prioritizing safety and minimizing disruption.
  • Conduct carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs as needed.
  • Coordinating with Grounds Team to support with their requirements

Preventative Maintenance:

  • Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to extend the life of equipment and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.
