Maintenance Manager. Based in Northwood, Middlesex my client has a new requirement for an Maintenance Manager. Please note this role working days: mostly Tuesday to Saturday with occasional rota patterns including Monday Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm!

You must have/be:

Proficiency in general maintenance tasks, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
Must be able to stand, walk, and perform manual labour for extended periods

Role involves:

General Maintenance:

Perform regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
Report repairs cosmetic or structural which will need to be outsourced.
Conduct routine checks and repairs of the facility's infrastructure, including doors, windows, floors, and fixtures.
Ensure that emergency systems, such as fire alarms and emergency lighting, are operational.

Repairs and Upkeep:

Address and resolve maintenance requests and issues promptly, prioritizing safety and minimizing disruption.
Conduct carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs as needed.
Coordinating with Grounds Team to support with their requirements

Preventative Maintenance:

Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule to extend the life of equipment and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper storage of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.
