Private Chef or Cook

We have an immediate vacancy for a versatile Private Chef or Cook for a relaxed and welcoming household in Northwood. The family of 4 enjoy Indian, Asian, Mediterranean, and modern British cuisines. There are no food allergies, but the lady of the house is working with a nutritionist and will provide a diet chart to help with meal planning. Meals should accommodate varying preferences, as family members may not always eat the same dishes or dine together. Duties will include meal planning, shopping and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy as well as catering for monthly events for up to 10 guests.

We are looking for someone with a passion for food, highly creative, but equally happy cooking family favourites and comfort food, easy going, flexible and open to constructive feedback.

The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience working in the private sector with a sound knowledge of Indian and Asian cuisines, appropriate professional qualifications and excellent references.

Although you will be working in an informal family environment professional behaviour is required at all times.

Interviews will include a cooking trial.

This position is subject to a full DBS check

5-day week. Monday to Friday. 10am-6pm approximately, with occasional weekend work required

Holiday entitlement: 28 days of annual leave, ideally taken to fit in when the family travels overseas.

Up to £50,000 (basic + bonus)
