We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Science Technician (2 days a week) to join our vibrant Sixth Form College in Northwood, Hillingdon. This role offers a chance to play a key part in the delivery of high-quality science education for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and setting up equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical science lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Ensuring the safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals and equipment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting teaching staff during practical sessions and demonstrations when required.
  • Maintaining and cleaning laboratory equipment and ensuring the laboratories are well-organised and fully stocked.
  • Conducting regular safety checks and ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards.
Requirements
  • A strong interest in science and an understanding of lab procedures (previous experience in a lab or technician role is a plus).
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and supportive attitude to working with teaching staff and students.
  • Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn new systems if needed.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a laboratory setting.
