Are you interested in growing your career in childcare? If so, We have a life changing job role opportunity working in a day care nursery to gain not only knowledge on becoming a fully qualified Early Years Educator, but to also gain the work experience on a full time schedule at our clients nursery in Northwood! This is an Apprenticeship role that will present you with great progressive opportunities where you will train on the job to become a skilled Educator whilst gaining valuable experience in the Childcare sector!

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
  • Assisting with mealtimes and changing
  • To undertake designated officer roles as directed.
  • To work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families.
  • To understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
  • To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes.
  • To be a key person.
  • To ensure records are properly maintained, e.g. daily attendance register, accident and incident book, risk assessments
  • To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the nursery and its curriculum, exchanging information about childrens progress and encouraging parents involvement.
  • To work in partnership with senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed, in accordance with the preschool aims and objectives

Apprenticeship eligibility requirements:

  • To not already hold an Early Years qualification at level 3 or above
  • To meet course suitability and initial assessment requirements in English and Math
  • To have the right to work in the UK and meet apprenticeship funding eligibility criteria
