Workshop based position

We have an opportunity for a storeman to join a long-standing client of ours on a permanent basis. Our client has a workshop near Daventry. We are looking for a storeman who has engineering storeman experience, you will be overseeing the fabrication and pressure testing of various systems of pipework. Experience with pressure testing isn't essential as training can be given. The successful candidate will oversee piping and welding activities and ensure projects are kept to specification and quality and safety standards are adhered to.

We are looking for people who are able:
Confident in using IT systems.
You must be able to demonstrate good verbal, and written communication skills are important due to reporting back to the workshop and project manager.
Attend external and internal training courses as required.
Reading of engineering drawings (training can be given).
Allocation of materials to relevant drawings.
Bolting together pipe spools for pressure testing and recording of pressure testing.
Booking of material deliveries.
Good understanding of health and safety in the work area.
to be confident in your abilities to assess situations and use initiative.
To be self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities.
To demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving using a logical approach.
Confident under pressure.
Understand urgency and respond accordingly.
Required previous experience:
Of managing engineering stores is essential.
Within a pipe fabrication / engineering company is essential.
Pressure testing of pipework systems is not essential but candidates with this. experience hold an advantage.
