We have an opening for an experienced Accountant who is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting with financial planning. This role involves preparing financial statements, analysing data, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing insights to support strategic decisions.

Main Duties:

Prepare accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for cost savings or improvement.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.

Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank statements, receivables, and payables.

Ensure compliance with internal control procedures to maintain accurate financial records.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Monitor actual performance against budget and report any variances.

Support department heads in budgeting and financial planning activities.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Prepare documentation for audits and liaise with auditors as required.

Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and financial regulations.

Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline accounting operations.

Implement best practices for efficient financial reporting and data management.
