Financial Controller
Norwich, NR5 8BF hybrid working with 2 days in office

Full time, (37.5 hours per week, Monday Friday)
Permanent position
£50,000 - £65,000 per annum

The Role

As our Financial Controller, you will lead our finance team and oversee the department's efficient day-to-day operations. Acting as a strategic partner to the business, you will help drive performance objectives while ensuring robust financial planning, reporting, and control.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the finance departments daily operations.
Manage and develop the finance team to achieve their full potential.
Develop and produce insightful Management Information (MI), board reports, and key KPIs.
Lead on process, control, and system development to drive continuous improvement.
Manage efficient month-end and year-end accounting cycles.
Oversee budgeting and forecasting, aligning costs with business goals.
Partner with internal teams to manage working capital and cashflow effectively.
Build strong relationships with managers, providing commercial and strategic decision support.
Present KPIs and MI to managers and the leadership team.
Serve as the primary contact for auditors and banking partners.

The Ideal Candidate

Were seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Financial Controller who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to strategic decision-making. About you:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
Preferably trained in audit at an accountancy practice (not essential).
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industry.
Strong technical understanding of current reporting standards.
Advanced Excel skills, with experience in forecasting and modelling.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Experience with audit and banking partners is desirable
