The Role

As our Financial Controller, you will lead our finance team and oversee the department's efficient day-to-day operations. Acting as a strategic partner to the business, you will help drive performance objectives while ensuring robust financial planning, reporting, and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the finance department’s daily operations.
  • Manage and develop the finance team to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and produce insightful Management Information (MI), board reports, and key KPIs.
  • Lead on process, control, and system development to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage efficient month-end and year-end accounting cycles.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting, aligning costs with business goals.
  • Partner with internal teams to manage working capital and cashflow effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with managers, providing commercial and strategic decision support.
  • Present KPIs and MI to managers and the leadership team.
  • Serve as the primary contact for auditors and banking partners.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Financial Controller who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to strategic decision-making. About you:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Preferably trained in audit at an accountancy practice (not essential).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of current reporting standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with experience in forecasting and modelling.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with audit and banking partners is desirable
