Your new companyHays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with one of Norfolk's leading property management organisations, in their search for a Property Accountant / Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident management accountant, who ideally has property management accounting experience, to join a professional finance team based in Norwich.

Your new roleIn this role, you will be part of the team who are responsible for producing detailed management accounts, financial statements and completing reports for a range of clients and any experience of or an understanding of RICS guidelines as well as service charges, would be an advantage.

Your duties will involve monthly reporting, annual & quarterly tax returns including overseas tax returns, investigating budget/income variances, extensive reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting, as well as cash flow management, balance sheet control and budget compliance. You will also work closely with the key internal contacts, including clients, surveyors, as well being the point of contact for all finance updates and any financial queries.

What you'll need to succeedYou will be at least an AAT student with experience of trial balance and assisting or producing monthly management accounts covering accruals, pre-payments, journals, along with the confidence to investigate budget variances.

Ideally, you will have experience of property-management reporting from another property company or maybe from a housing association as the role will involve reporting on rental income, ground rent and service charges. It is expected you will be confident with IT systems, including Excel, regarding reporting and analysing data.

What you'll get in returnThe organisation offers a salary range of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, 25 days holiday plus the Bank Holidays, salary Sacrifice Pension scheme, study support may be available, Monday to Friday 9am -- 5.30pm.
