Management Accountant (Part Time - 3 days per week)

Norwich based (1 day per week from home)

Up to £36,000 (FTE)

Our client is a well-known retailer and distributor of quality goods based in Norwich, who are looking to recruit a part-time Management Accountant who will report directly to the Financial Controller.

Ideally you will be at least part qualified or qualified by experience with 2 years experience in a finance team. You will also provide financial insight to other departments within the business, including Operations and Marketing Advanced knowledge of Excel and ERP system experience is essential.

In the role of Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare the monthly management accounts reporting cycle, including accruals and prepayments, stock reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and fixed assets.
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Manage financial control of eCommerce transactions, including monthly reconciliations by payment provider.
  • Comply with HMRC/ATO legislative requirements, including VAT and GST returns.
  • Complete National Statistic surveys.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Aid in year-end audit requirements and prepare draft statutory accounts and corporation tax reconciliations.
  • Act as a finance partner to the Operations, Marketing, eCommerce, and Sales teams, providing monthly cost analysis and ad hoc requests to support decision-making and cost control.
  • Challenge existing practices and continuously seek opportunities to control costs and drive efficiency.
  • Provide financial support to all business stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the line manager or line director.
