Management Accountant -Wroxham

Are you a proactive and hands-on Management Accountant looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant to join a dynamic, privately owned business near Wroxham. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll be playing a key role in the day-to-day financial operations, using your expertise in Xero and Excel to manage the company's finances and support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and produce monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the Finance Director.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Support with budgeting and forecasting, providing insightful financial analysis to inform business strategy.
  • Perform variance analysis to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage and review the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors when required.
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and processes to support the growth of the business.
  • Engage in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives to drive cost efficiencies and operational improvements.

Skills Needed:

  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant in a hands-on role.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with teams across the business.
  • Proactive and driven, with a passion for process improvement and financial accuracy.
  • Desirable: Part or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar accountancy qualifications.
