Management Accountant

£45k-£50k (DOE) plus benefits

Our client is a thriving, progressive organisation with exciting plans for the future. The role of Management Accountant will report directly to the Head of Finance.

You will ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with experience in management accounts and an understanding of financial reporting, compliance and tax. Previous line management experience is also desirable.

The principal aspects of the role are:

  • Prepare and present management accounts, conduct month-end reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Finance Business Partnering and New Product Development.
  • Assist with strategic projects, including the development of a new integrated reporting framework and financial modelling with scenario analysis.
  • Prepare and present detailed profit and cash flow forecasts, and associated variance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT and payroll requirements, including processing submissions to HMRC.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance and other departments to streamline processes, improve controls and risk management, and provide information to aid decision-making.
  • Work with Finance team to implement and monitor the procurement policy.
  • Analyse business data to generate insights for colleagues and stakeholders.
