Client Accounting Manager

Reed Accountancy and Finance Norwich are seeking a Client Accounting Manager to work with our rapidly growing client in Norwich and lead their accounting team. This role involves managing the financial aspects of client portfolios, implementing new systems, and aligning processes across the department. The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Director and play a crucial role in driving processes and the team forward. This role will also include accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the accounting team, setting clear goals and ensuring alignment with departmental processes.
- Lead the implementation of a new system, including training team members and adapting processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for client portfolios, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Develop and implement financial controls to comply with both internal and external standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and internal departments.
- Serve as the primary contact for finance teams, resolving financial queries and providing regular updates.
- Lead the rollout of the new accounting system, ensuring seamless integration into daily operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven experience in managing teams through change and system implementations.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, particularly in aligning team processes and implementing new systems.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting, financial controls, and budgeting processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of managing relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Accounting qualification or relevant degree preferred.
