NXTGEN is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join a growing Accountancy practice located just north of Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive team that values hard work and passion. The practice has recently expanded its office due to significant and organic growth, driven by increasing demand from both new and long-standing local clients.

As an Accounts Assistant, you'll receive one-on-one support from experienced staff and hands-on guidance from Directors who are committed to maintaining a healthy work-life balance. This role will be customised to align with your skills and career goals, allowing you to effectively manage your workload while developing professionally. This role offers a unique opportunity for someone looking to gain experience across a wide range of accounting duties. You'll be involved in tasks such as preparing accounts for a range of clients, assisting with management accounts, supporting VAT and Tax Returns, and contributing to the Bookkeeping function for a variety of clients. As your skills grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and further your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing accounts for a diverse range of clients.
  • Support the preparation of management accounts, VAT, and Tax returns.
  • Assist with Bookkeeping tasks.
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Provide prompt support for clients' ad hoc queries.

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience in an Accountancy practice or similar environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
