NXTGEN is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join a small but great cultured Accountancy firm located in Norwich. The firm has recently expanded its client base due to recent wins and increasing demand from both new and long-standing local clients.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will benefit from one-on-one mentorship from experienced team members and receive hands-on support from Managers who are committed to ensuring growth and development. This position offers a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience across a broad range of accounting functions. You will be involved in activities such as preparing accounts for various clients, supporting VAT and Tax Returns, and contributing to the Bookkeeping function for a specialised client base. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of accounts for a diverse range of clients.
  • Support the production of VAT and Tax returns.
  • Assist with Bookkeeping tasks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Provide prompt assistance with clients' ad hoc queries.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in an Accountancy practice or a similar setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
