NXTGEN is excited to be working with a growing Accountancy practice based just north of Norwich city to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Accounts Assistant. With recent growth and increasing demand from new and existing clients, the firm is looking for someone who can help to manage the expanding workload within their Accounts team. They're committed to creating a tailored role that works for you, offering flexibility with hours and workload to suit your personal and professional goals. This role offers a diverse range of responsibilities, including managing a varied portfolio of clients, maintaining regular communication to build strong relationships, supporting year-end accounts preparation, and assisting with tax compliance and preparation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accounts and bookkeeping tasks for a wide range of clients.
  • Prepare management accounts and assist with VAT and tax returns.
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met to a high standard.
  • Provide timely support and advice for clients' ad hoc queries.

What We're Looking For:

  • Prior experience in a Chartered Accountants or Bureau environment is highly preferred due to the hands-on client work involved.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft packages.
