Reed Practice Norfolk are looking for a talented individual to join a forward-thinking team as an Accounts Assistant, where you will play a pivotal role in managing accounts and tax returns for a diverse clientele including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. This position offers the flexibility to be based in Norwich or Fakenham, with occasional opportunities to work across other locations or directly with clients.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the production and preparation of accounts and tax returns.
  • Utilise Microsoft Office and cloud accounting packages to manage and organise data efficiently.
  • Adapt to changing deadlines and priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and detail.
  • Provide high-quality customer service, addressing client queries and concerns effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with team members across different offices to ensure cohesive operations and client satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT qualified or nearing qualification.
  • Experience in accounts production and tax return preparation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with cloud accounting software.
  • Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in English (GCSE level or equivalent required).
  • Ideally holding 3 A-levels or equivalent qualifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all tasks.

Desirable Skills:

  • Certifications in Xero and QBO are advantageous.
