Are you looking to kickstart your career in finance? We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join our fantastic client in the heart of Norwich. This role offers comprehensive training and development, making it the perfect entry point for individuals who are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and ready to develop their skills in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:You will be trained to handle a variety of tasks and take on responsibilities as you gain the necessary skills and knowledge. These tasks include:

  • Assisting the Management Accountant in preparing month-end management accounts and financial performance reports.
  • Preparing regular cashflow forecasts.
  • Conducting monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Preparing and analyzing Budgetholder reports.
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register.
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing VAT returns.
  • Posting transactions to SAGE 50 and the job costing system.
  • Creating reports from the job costing system.
  • Processing staff expense claims.

Skills and Qualifications:We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic experience with Microsoft Office 365.

    • Solid organisational skills with a flexible approach to prioritising tasks.
