NXTGEN is delighted to be working with a leading accountancy firm in Norwich to recruit a Junior Bookkeeper for their growing Outsourcing team. This Junior Bookkeeper position offers someone an exciting opportunity who has 6-12 months of bookkeeping experience and eager to build a career in accounting within a firm that values growth, support, and professional development. You'll be joining a collaborative team that works with a variety of SMEs, sole traders, and partnerships, and your work will play a key role in supporting clients with high-quality, personalised service.

As a Junior Bookkeeper, you'll handle a wide range of accounting tasks, including VAT submissions and management accounts, while directly engaging with clients to resolve queries and ensure they receive a top-notch service. If you're ready to take on a hands-on, client-facing role that lets you build skills across all areas of bookkeeping, this could be the perfect next step.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile client bank statements
  • Support management account preparation and journal postings
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns on a quarterly basis
  • Assist clients with CIS submissions
  • Provide support with cloud accounting queries, including QuickBooks and Xero

What We're Looking For:

  • 6-12 months experience in Bookkeeping
  • Some experience with Xero and Quickbooks
  • Has an understanding of VAT
  • Strong Comunication skills
