Your new companyHays Accountancy & Finance are supporting a Norwich-based school who are looking for a Finance Clerk / Purchase Ledger Clerk to work full-time 37.5 hours a week during term time, plus 2 additional weeks. This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking for a role which offers flexible work during school holidays.Your new roleAs the Finance Clerk, you take responsibility for the purchase ledger, raising PO's, obtaining approval for payment, dealing with supplier queries, daily cashiering of dinner monies, school trip monies through to updating income vs. expenditure reports. The role offers a variety of tasks, regarding office-administration, as you will be supporting the Head Teacher with general duties for this primary school.What you'll need to succeedYou will have, at least, experience of invoice processing, ideally in purchase ledger as well as being confident in updating cashbooks, recording income, checking cash balances on school dinners and trips to ensure all money has been accounted for, as well as being highly organised to work in a busy primary school office.What you'll get in returnAs explained, this is a term-time only role working full-time, 37.5 hours a week, paying £22,343 for the agreed 45.8 weeks for the year, including 2 weeks to be taken during school holidays.
