Straight Forward Recruitment Ltd are actively looking for a Workshop – Production Operatives for our client who is based in Horsford. 

  • Hours of Work: 07h00 - 16h00 (17h00 – at peak periods).
  • Monday to Friday with overtime worked as and when required. 
  • Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour 
  • This is a temporary position with the possibility for a permanent position after a successful 12 week period. 
  • Own Transport or the ability to reliably commute is essential due to location 

Job Summary

Working within the Production Team and guided by the Unit Manager and Production Manager.

You will be training in the manufacture of timber buildings.

Most of your training will be on the job and taught how to use the required tools and equipment to be used within this process.

There’s not much your job won’t cover, your main duties will include:

  • Cutting timber and components
  • Assembling Sections for buildings
  • Working to deadlines and schedules
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Using Power Hand tools
  • Using Fixed Machinery
  • Liaising with Manager
  • Keep work area Tidy and Clean
  • Stock Control
  • Waste Control
  • Assist in Loading and Unloading of Vehicles
  • Assist in Painting of buildings when required
  • Adhere to health and safety at all time
  • Quality control of buildings being produced
