We are seeking an Industrial Cleaner to join a team at a Norwich Production facility. This standalone role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness of both high and low levels of the factory and machinery. The Industrial Cleaner will ensure that all cleaning standards are met efficiently and safely, under the supervision of the Norwich Operations Manager and overall guidance from the Head of Technical.
Day-to-day of the role:- Carry out all cleaning tasks according to the cleaning schedule, which includes machinery, factory areas, and surrounding environments.
- Work in various conditions including hot, humid environments, at heights, and within confined spaces using appropriate equipment such as ladders, scissor lifts, or MEWPs.
- Handle and mix cleaning chemicals safely, wearing protective clothing as necessary.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the factory team and management, reporting any equipment faults or issues promptly.
- Take responsibility for personal and workplace health & safety, adhering to all safety procedures and promoting safe working practices.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and ensure that all cleaning equipment and areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Provide cover for the Site Cleaner as needed, which includes cleaning communal areas such as the canteen, toilets, showers, changing rooms, and offices.
- Comply with all site rules and regulations consistently.
- Previous cleaning experience in industrial settings.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions within guidelines.
- Capable of working under pressure and handling physical work.
- Knowledge of operational and industrial cleaning equipment is desirable.
- Basic literacy and customer care skills.
- General understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities.
