About the Role:

EC Recruitment is excited to present an opportunity for a Facilities Manager to join a leading company with a substantial portfolio, comprising of Industrial, Office and Retail properties. Overseeing major projects this role promises a dynamic and rewarding career for the right candidate.

Job Purpose:

To represent the company to all tenants, suppliers, contractors, and third parties, enhancing and building the company's reputation. Ensure high standards of property presentation are maintained at all times, and escalate significant, strategic, or forward-looking risks and opportunities. This is a new role within the business with plenty of scope to develop the department.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Management of a mixed portfolio of properties across Norfolk and North Suffolk
  • Be a visible presence on-site, engaging with tenants to address issues and identify risks, opportunities, and improvements
  • Assist in setting service charge budgets and manage/control expenditure accordingly
  • Procure and manage a team of multi-discipline contractors to ensure high standards of service, with an emphasis on customer service
  • Procure Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Maintain effective relationships with contractors and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies, including health and safety
  • Coordinate inspections and meetings across the portfolio
  • Manage void property inspections and ensure compliance with insurance policy
  • Develop strong relationships with tenants and ensure professional communication
  • Ensure the Property Portfolio complies with current/new legislation
  • Work alongside Commercial Property Accountant, Administrator, Lease Consultancy and Agency teams

Skills and Qualities:

  • Experience in Commercial, Facilities or Residential Property
  • A strong team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Manage a varied workload exercising judgment in prioritising day to day tasks
  • Create a positive first impression face-to-face and over the phone with clients
  • Responsive, flexible, and professional attitude with the ability to adapt priorities.
  • A strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Confident dealing with clients and enquiries.
  • A full UK Driving Licence and use of own vehicle
