My client is a Norwich based chartered firm who have been providing advice to Norfolk and afar for over fifty years and you can become part of their success by supporting their Financial Planners as a Technical Analyst.
Job summary
You will wok as part of my clients support team, integrating with Financial Planners and Administrators to provide clients with a welcoming, efficient, professional and effective client service, with a high focus on quality and accuracy adhering to TCF and Consumer Duty principles at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Research and collate the relevant quantitative information required to compile wealth management and financial planning reports based on meeting notes, fact find data and Financial Planner instructions.
- Proficient use of cash flow planning tools (Truth/Voyant).
- Discuss client needs and objectives with the relevant wealth manager and undertake research to identify suitable solutions to meet a client’s needs and objectives.
- Complete tax calculations for withdrawals for capital gains tax, inheritance tax and bond withdrawals.
- Prepare information and recommendations to support the client review for analysis by a Financial Planner.
- Maintain client records and data accurately and efficiently in accordance with both company and FCA rules and requirements.
- Keep up to date with new product, technical and legislative changes.
- Effective management of day-to-day work through the company’s workflow system, working to timescales as defined within company procedures, holding regular meetings with relevant Financial Planners and Administrators to discuss workloads and priorities.
- Provide training to other members of the team, providing guidance in relation to day-to-day working practices, training and technical support.
- Have a working knowledge of the Administrator role in relation to understanding processes and procedures relating to the monitoring of new business, preparation of client meeting packs and valuations, submission of client transactions, sending of letters of authority, calculation of fees and raising client invoices.
- Other general administration duties as assigned.
Role requirements
Qualifications
- Hold or working towards Diploma in Financial Planning or Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
- Certificate in Financial Planning (Essential)
Experience
Minimum 5 years’ industry experience
Knowledge and Skills
Good inter-personal skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good report writing skills
Good numeracy skills with close attention to detail
Excellent organisation skills with experience of working to deadlines
Good understanding of FCA ethics, rules and requirements
Good knowledge of investments, pensions and protection plans as well as other financial products and financial planning tools.
High level of technical experience
Able to demonstrate an adaptable/flexible approach to work within a changing environment
Experience of using Intelligent Office (IO) (Desirable)
