Contract Personnel are currently recruiting experienced Chefs to work in the outskirts of Norwich. A minimum of one year experience is required, and own transport is essential. A valid DBS check is required.
This is a temp to perm role. Following a successful 12 week probation period, there is an excellent opportunity to be offered a permanent contract with our client.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Prepare menus and agree them with the Manager (taking into consideration special diets and specific foods required)
- Prepare and serve all meals in a timely manner
- Order supplies for the catering operation from specified suppliers using company procedures, and maintain strict control over costs
- Operate an efficient stock control system
- Ensure supplied equipment is used with care
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any faults or damage immediately
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the individuals this service supports
- Any other duties as required
Shift pattern:
- This role is to work on a shift rotation, but each shift starts at 07:00am. The duration of each shift will be a minimum of 6 hours, and a maximum of 8 hours.
- Week 1: Monday, thursday and Friday
- Week 2: Monday, Saturday and SundayÂ
