Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to create exceptional dishes that reflect our pub's commitment to quality and flavour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, such as grill, sauté, or pastry.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement seasonal menus and specials.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in your section and throughout the kitchen.
  • Monitor food inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Contribute to menu planning and costing.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input on kitchen operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Excellent cooking skills with a passion for food and creativity.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
