Junior Sous Chef- NR9

We have a position for a Junior Sous Chef in a pub & restaurant with 8 beautiful B&B rooms. They serve great local produce to a very high standard as well as being a traditional pub providing a great range of ales and fantastic wine list.

It is a family run business with many years of experience and a great track record in staff retention and development.

This is a unique job offering a challenging, interesting and enjoyable career opportunity.

Your own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Owning and overseeing your workstation. Working alongside the head chef, you will create the menu dishes for guests to enjoy.

- Using your creativity and input in creating specials.

- Ensure your section is prepared and cleaned down

- Demonstrating food hygiene standards and an understanding of allergens.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain a harmonious working environment.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who has:

- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-quality kitchen.

- Charisma, an engaging personality and passion for hospitality.

- Ability to keep calm and focussed during busy service, keeping your station clean and tidy throughout.

- Knowledge of techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards, food Hygiene level 2 would be beneficial.

- Organisational and time-management skill and effective communication and teamwork skills.

- You will be flexible, happy to work in different sections & ambitious & willing to learn.

- A great sense of humour, love of teamwork and ability to work under pressure are a must.
