About Us:Cooper Lomaz are working with an organisation committed to leveraging data to drive their business forward. We're looking for an experienced IT Governance Manager with a strong background in data management and governance to help shape and oversee their data strategy.

The Role:As the IT Governance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility across the organisation. You'll play a key role in cataloguing data, implementing data governance policies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help drive best practices in data governance, while enabling data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Catalogue and classify organisational data for better accessibility and security.
  • Oversee data quality and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with IT, data teams, and business units to implement best practices in data governance.
  • Leverage Azure, Power BI, and Microsoft Purview to manage and visualise data assets effectively.
  • Provide support and guidance to teams on data governance-related issues.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a data governance or data management role.
  • Strong understanding of data cataloguing and best practices in data governance.
  • Experience working with Azure and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Purview is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude.
