The Role:We’re seeking a passionate and results-driven Category Manager – Building Supplies to lead and manage our product portfolio. This role is pivotal in driving category growth, enhancing profitability, and delivering value to our customers. You'll oversee key product categories like and play a strategic role in shaping our product offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to grow sales and profitability.
  • Product Management: Select, plan, and manage a competitive product assortment based on market trends and customer needs.
  • Supplier Relationships: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure the best value while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor sales data, identify opportunities, and adjust plans to optimise category performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and sales teams to deliver category plans and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Market Insight: Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and competitive activity to maintain a leading market position.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in category management, product management, or procurement within the home improvement or building supplies sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of using data to drive decision-making.
  • Expertise in supplier negotiation and contract management.
  • Knowledge of the building supplies or construction materials market is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams and with stakeholders.
