R13 are currently partnering with a cutting-edge business in the life sciences field in order to aide in the recruitment of a Key Account & Sales Manager to join their team in Norwich. This role will focus on developing client relationships & driving sales within the following sectors; Agriculture, plant breeding, Biotech, Health tech and pharma.

This is a permanent, full-time position which is field based but will require regular presence on site in Norwich. The offered salary for this position is £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience plus commission.

The day to day

  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key client partners, taking a lead on customer relations and negotiations.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies for presentations, proposals and client meetings.
  • Driving sales conversations and growing leads for new and repeat business, ensuring client retention where possible.
  • Leading on sales and project management process optimisation, develop and maintain robust forecasting, budgeting, and resourcing processes.
  • Ensuring an excellent customer experience through operational excellent and delivery of technical service updates.
  • Motivating and leading internal teams, ensuring KPIs are being achieved.
  • Ensuring accurate administration and reporting regarding commercial projects.

You will have/be

  • A relevant biological or life sciences degree OR substantial experience working within this field.
  • Proven track record of sales & commercial success within the biotech, healthcare, or genomics industry.
  • Up to date knowledge of current genomics technologies and their applications, plus general knowledge of the life sciences and genomics market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive useful insights from data.
  • Experience with CRM software and good overall IT literacy.
