Sales Executive – Norwich
Contract Personnel are looking for a Sales Executive Technician for a well-known car dealership company in the Norwich area.
How does the day-to-day look?
- Actively prospect and identify potential customers through targeted efforts.
- Develop a thorough understanding of individual customer needs and preferences to deliver tailored solutions.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding vehicle sales, accessories, and finance in a professional and timely manner.
- Present and conduct test drives in a way that showcases vehicle strengths and features.
- Consistently review and adapt to customer feedback to improve the sales process and customer experience.
- Provide transparent and clear information about all available products and services.
- Promote and sell service plans, ensuring customer retention and future profits.
- Stay updated with the latest vehicles, options, accessories, and functionality to ensure accurate and effective sales conversations.
- Attend product events, launches, briefings, and training sessions as required.
- Leverage online platforms (CitNow, Live Chat, social media) to build relationships and generate leads.
- Keep up to date with market conditions and competitor trends to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure proper management of customer database and diary system, keeping information updated.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly prepared, including additional work/accessories, before handover.
- Verify that payment has been received in full and cleared before vehicle handover.
- Assist with audits and other company-required processes.
- Assist colleagues with tasks and cover shifts when required.
- Help plan team rota to ensure adequate coverage.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to evaluate part-exchange vehicles, ensuring profitability for the Company while providing a fair valuation to the customer.
- Hand vehicles over to customers in a way that promotes the company's excellent local reputation.
- Ensure customer satisfaction at every touchpoint, ensuring repeat visits to the dealership.
- Develop strong, trust-based relationships with customers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Work with marketing and promotional events to drive customer engagement and sales.
- Comply with all FCA regulations if trained, ensuring all financial and regulated business processes are followed.
- Ensure security of company premises and stock at all times.
- Adhere to GDPR and confidentiality standards to protect customer data.
You will have:
- Proven experience in vehicle sales or customer-facing roles, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers.
- Ability to actively listen, ask the right questions, and summarize customer needs.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets, through upselling and maximization of sales opportunities.
- High-level product knowledge with the ability to convey this to customers confidently.
- FCA certification (or willingness to complete FCA training if not already completed).
- Full driving license required to conduct test drives.
- Basic understanding of the vehicle sales process and finance options.

Schedule: 5 day working week (inc. weekend working on a rota)
Salary: £24,000 basic – OTE £45K p.a (uncapped)
