The role involves selling products and services to potential and existing customers, including businesses, government organizations, and trade bodies, both domestically and internationally. The goal is to maximize sales profitability, growth, and account penetration.
Responsibilities
- Achieve targets by effectively communicating capabilities and value to potential clients, securing and delivering projects.
- Collaborate with potential clients to understand their needs and provide clear, tailored proposals.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager and Director of Research to ensure proposals align with revenue and quality objectives.
- Contribute to projects by coordinating input from team members and producing high-quality research.
- Conduct research through methods such as telephone interviews, desk studies, and data analysis.
- Write concise and impactful reports that present findings in an engaging and straightforward manner.
- Attend client meetings and deliver presentations at client offices and industry events.
About You
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in a technical or quantitative field (or equivalent); postgraduate studies are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in engineering, operations, research, strategy, or consulting.
- Knowledge of the offshore wind industry and energy markets is a plus but not required.
- Proven ability to generate business through effective client engagement and proposal writing.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate team efforts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Confident in engaging with clients to solve problems.
- Strong numerical and statistical skills, with comfort in using MS Excel for analysis and forecasting.
- Knowledge of SQL is beneficial, but not required.
