As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer with expertise in developing and executing large-scale solar PV, battery storage, and EV charging projects. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of clean energy while working on cutting-edge infrastructure projects.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Engage credibly with senior stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Apply technical expertise in electrical infrastructure across LV, MV, and HV distribution and transmission voltages for renewable energy projects.
  • Provide project management leadership, ensuring a strong focus on health & safety throughout project lifecycles.
  • Liaise with key industry stakeholders such as National Grid ESO, UK DNOs, Eirgrid, and ESB, ensuring regulatory compliance and technical excellence.
  • Interpret and assess grid connection offers and contracts from both technical and commercial perspectives.
  • Communicate complex technical issues clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with UK electrical regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate commercial awareness, understanding contract terms and financial considerations in project execution.
  • Stay ahead of industry developments, embracing new technologies and regulatory changes in this fast-moving sector.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless project execution.

What Were Looking For

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Experience in electrical infrastructure projects, preferably in renewable energy, battery storage, or EV charging.
  • Ability to liaise with UK grid operators and navigate Grid Code/G99 requirements.
  • Strong technical knowledge of LV to HV electrical infrastructure in energy projects.
  • Proven experience in design, construction, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of grid connection requirements for solar and battery storage projects.
  • Familiarity with protection circuits, HV substations, and coordinating with DNOs.
  • Experience managing H&S standards and ensuring regulatory compliance on electrical projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging stakeholders across technical and commercial disciplines.
  • Commercial acumen, with an understanding of contracts and financial aspects of project development.
  • A problem-solving mindset, able to adapt to a rapidly evolving industry.
