I am seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a thriving, innovative Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Norwich. The firm specialises in providing high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer to launch their career within a supportive, professional environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers to assist in the design, analysis, and detailing of structural elements for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:As a Graduate Structural Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Assisting in the design and analysis of structural components for building projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Supporting senior engineers in project delivery, including preparing calculations, reports, and ensuring designs meet relevant regulations and codes.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative and practical design solutions.
  • Using industry-standard software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tedds) for structural analysis and design.
  • Participating in site visits and inspections to support the engineering process.
  • Contributing to the development of sustainable, cost-efficient engineering solutions.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline (BEng or MEng).
  • Familiarity with structural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Tedds) is an advantage, but not essential.
  • A strong understanding of core structural engineering principles and the ability to apply them to real-world projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • A strong desire for professional development, with a goal to pursue further qualifications (such as Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IStructE).
