I am seeking a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a thriving, innovative Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Norwich. The firm specialises in providing high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions across a range of sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will work alongside experienced engineers to assist in the design, analysis, and detailing of structural elements for various projects.
Key Responsibilities:As a Graduate Structural Engineer, your duties will include:
- Assisting in the design and analysis of structural components for building projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Supporting senior engineers in project delivery, including preparing calculations, reports, and ensuring designs meet relevant regulations and codes.
- Collaborating with internal teams, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver innovative and practical design solutions.
- Using industry-standard software (such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tedds) for structural analysis and design.
- Participating in site visits and inspections to support the engineering process.
- Contributing to the development of sustainable, cost-efficient engineering solutions.
Skills & Experience Required:
- A degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline (BEng or MEng).
- Familiarity with structural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Tedds) is an advantage, but not essential.
- A strong understanding of core structural engineering principles and the ability to apply them to real-world projects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- A strong desire for professional development, with a goal to pursue further qualifications (such as Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IStructE).
