I am currently recruiting for a Graduate Structural Engineer to join a thriving and dynamic Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Norwich. My client specialises in delivering high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions across a variety of sectors-including residential, commercial, and industrial developments. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer to kick-start their career within a supportive and professional environment. Working alongside experienced engineers, the successful candidate will assist in the design, analysis, and detailing of structural elements for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Your role as a Graduate Structural Engineer will include:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural components for building projects, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Support senior engineers with project delivery, including creating calculations and reports, and ensuring designs meet relevant regulations and codes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve practical and innovative design solutions.
  • Use industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tedds) for structural analysis and design.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to support the engineering process.
  • Assist in the development of sustainable and cost-efficient engineering solutions.

Skills & Experience Required for a Graduate Structural Engineer:

  • A degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline (BEng or MEng).
  • Familiarity with structural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Tedds is a plus but not essential.
  • A solid understanding of basic structural engineering principles and the ability to apply them to real-world projects.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Enthusiasm for professional development, with the ambition to pursue further qualifications (such as Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IStructE).
