Are you looking to join a design led structural and civil engineering firm, who can boast a number of awards?

With a degree relevant to structural engineering you will be based in our clients (south) Norwich office, helping the team deliver projects across a variety of sectors, including the offshore energy, oil and gas sectors.

You will join a collaborative team who work on a range of high-profile building projects spanning various sectors, producing high quality work within a dynamic and supportive environment.

As part of your role, you will be able to establish a sound understanding of the client brief. Using own initiative and technical skills, you will support the wider (multi-disciplinary) project team through safe, efficient and effective delivery of tasks to deadlines. This will ensure that the project remains within budget and to agreed standards. You will be responsible for delivery of assigned tasks whilst acting under minimal supervision, therefore you will be expected to plan your own work to meet given objectives.

Additionally, you will assist in the development of team members to reach their full potential, whilst developing an appreciation of safe, sustainable and commercially viable solutions and stakeholder skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement project requirements to fully meet the client specification in accordance with relevant standards
  • Prepare own discipline designs, drawings and schedules as identified in the Project Quality.
  • Plan on assigned projects
  • Prepare / assist with the preparation of scheme evaluations, design statements, tender documents and any other reports identified in the Project Quality Plan on assigned projects
  • Design, manage and prepare /assist with interpretation of ground investigation contracts
  • Carry out other duties as identified in the Project Quality Plan on assigned projects

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold a degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Strong design skills
  • Able to work well within a team in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Good academic background
