- To deliver high quality teaching and learning in Multi-Skilled Construction and Carpentry at level 1.
- To ensure the health, safety, safeguarding and wellbeing of learners, staff and visitors to the centre in accordance with our operating policies
- To support all students in achieving their potential by taking a pro-active, enthusiastic and flexible approach
- Development of resources, teaching materials, schemes of work and lesson plans for all lessons as per your timetable
- To support the planning for new courses and activities at the centre and externally
- The planning and preparing of all learning activities
- Delivery of teaching and learning in your vocational area
- To support the students to find creative ways to achieve learning across the levels for individuals (especially those with SEND)
- To support students in community projects to promote engagement and work experience
- Maintaining registers, tracking progress and providing feedback to both students, staff and student schools
- Keep all behaviour notes and student records updated
- To positively engage with all students including those that display challenging behaviours, enabling students to be treated as individuals in a person-centred manner
- Maintaining tools, equipment and resources for the purposes of teaching and learning
- Maintain standards required under the Health & Safety at Work Act and all relevant health and safety regulations
- A minimum of 2 years recent Construction/Carpentry experience
- Level 2 Construction/Carpentry qualification or equivalent/higher
