A leading project development and construction group is seeking a permanent Construction Manager to join their Infrastructure team on a major highways project in Norwich.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and supply chain collaborators to successfully complete assigned work sections, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Address design queries and changes within the section of works.
- Collaborate with other members of the delivery team and enabling functions to ensure work planning considers the project's limitations and needs.
- Oversee the planning, design, and construction of the highways project, managing project budgets and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by implementing appropriate safety procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Agent or Construction Manager on highways projects.
- Proven track record of successful management that embraces inclusivity.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering projects within budget and targets.
- Possession of a CSCS card / SMSTS.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts (through experience and formal training), ideally ECC NEC4.
