Maintenance Engineer

  • 08:00 16:30 Monday to Thursday

Our client are a manufacturer of high-end productswith an ever-increasing product range. Customer expectations are excellence in product design, cost and delivery performance.
As a Maintenance Engineer you will provide first and immediate response to machine breakdown and fault finding. You will be capable of maximising cost and quality to ensure
prevention of major damage that could result in extensive costs and disruption to production.


Key Responsibilities
Carrying out maintenance routines on plant and equipment. Diagnosing and repairing equipment failures as required.
Creating and maintaining a maintenance plan for the business equipment.
Identifying spare parts and arranging purchase through procurement team.
Installation and testing of equipment.
Maintaining records of faults and repairs
Supervising contractors on site
Plan and coordinator all installations
Ensure safety walk inspections are completed
Conduct frequent quality checks on equipment to ensure maintenance is not required
Complete emergency maintained when equipment breaks down
Conduct routine maintenance checks.
General building reworks including basic plumbing and electrical works
Electrical testing and repair
Lead a team of labourers as required when undertaking a large project
Site maintenance

Qualifications and Skills

Must have experience of working within a safe system of work
Experience of basic plumbing and electrical work
Electrical qualification or equivalent experience
Experience of working in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to collaborate with others to ensure that tasks are completed on time and within a budget.
Experience of planning works, estimating the resources required and sourcing suppliers is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to connect with team members to drive successful outcomes.

Excellent organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure
Maintain a positive attitude and can-do, flexible approach in any circumstance
