Job Title: Groundworks Supervisor
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm /Direct Perm
Location: Norwich
Salary: £24.00 - £26.00 Per hour
Working Hours: 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join our team on a temp-to-perm /Direct Perm basis, working on a variety of construction projects in Norwich. You will play a critical role in overseeing groundworks operations, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all groundworks activities on-site.
- Lead and manage groundworks teams, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to specification.
- Work closely with the site management team to deliver projects within set budgets and timelines.
- Oversee health and safety compliance on-site, ensuring that all work is conducted safely and in line with company policies.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure they adhere to project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure a high standard of workmanship.
- Provide progress updates and reports to senior management.
Requirements:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification – mandatory.
- First Aid certification – mandatory.
- CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) card – mandatory.
- Proven experience in groundworks supervision within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of groundworks techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and work collaboratively with site management.
