NXTGEN are delighted to be partnering with a unique and growing business based in Norwich that is seeking a Credit Control Team Leader to lead from the front and drive the continued success of their credit control function. As Credit Control Team Leader, you will take full ownership of the credit control process, ensuring efficient debt collection while maintaining strong relationships with customers, directors, and key stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in improving processes, minimising aged debt, and supporting the wider finance team. This role requires a strong people leader with the ability to adapt their management style to suit the needs of a well-established team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the end-to-end credit control process, including debt collection and payment allocation.
  • Monitoring aged debt and producing regular reports for senior management.
  • Leading and developing a team of credit controllers, providing training and guidance.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers to resolve payment issues efficiently.
  • Building strong relationships with new and existing businesses
  • Reviewing and improving credit policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Conducting credit checks and assessing the risk of new and existing customers.
  • Working closely with the finance team to support month-end processes and reporting.
