Day-to-day of the role:
  • Operate the switchboard system to answer calls efficiently.
  • Direct callers to the relevant service areas within the Council.
  • Greet and assist customers visiting the offices, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  • Triaging and dealing with/redirecting email enquiries
  • Handle enquiries and provide information about services offered by the company
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a similar setting.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with the 8x8 switchboard system is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision.
